Environment - Characters - Quests - Download

The Environment:

SpiritQuest is my dream offering of an RPG Environment.
I wanted to make an Environment where time passes with day and night complete with random weather effects and a landscape that seems to change and evolve and characters could "grow".

Every 6 seconds real time = 1 minute game time
Every 5 minutes real time = 1 hour game time
Every 2 hours real time = 1 day game time
The Day and Night is divided evenly with 12 hours game time each.
The Base Quest (SpiritQuest) resets each game day at Dawn.
Completing a "Clan War", "Reign of the ShadowLord" or "The Book of Blood" Quests resets all other Quests.

The RPG Characters:

I also wanted to make a dream where the Role Playing was not conducted or controlled by other players (like pen and paper RPG) or a bot (thou I sometimes use a bot as an uploader so that you can 'join it).

For Role Playing there are
several "general" characters and 12 "unique" characters you can quest to become that can gain experience and levels similar to most conventional video games.
As you gain levels, your "max" hitpoints increase (though there are many effects that will take your hitpoints even higher and lower) and your attack power also increases.
Rather than say a key word to attack you USE an item
[F3] to attack.
You can attack monsters or other players from anywhere except when standing on "Sacred Ground".
If a character has a Melee ability you can attack the undead, demons, and the shadowlord, but only the Unique Characters can attack other players....and actually have the potential to be the most dangerous thing you will encounter.

Character Notes:

Only Unique Characters can gain levels
Base hitpoints increase with levels (for unique characters)
Attack damage increase with levels

Hitpoints can also increase with game effects.

The Unique Characters are linked to the Hero Spirits which reset every game day at Dawn...
Only one of each of the Spirit Weapons is available each game day, however if someone is holding one of the weapons at dawn there is the chance that 2 players could get the same weapon.
As long as the Spirit Weapon  is not dropped you will not loose your experience or levels, it will even carry over to a new day but with the chance that someone might pick up the same weapon and wipe out all the experience and levels gained.

Becoming the Clan Lords that is a way to "lock-in" your exp and level once you've reached lvl 4 with any of the Spirit Weapons. However, there can only be one Lord per Clan but these characters only reset if you drop the Helm that makes you a Clan Lord. Four new Clan Lord Helms become available every 7 game days so it is possible to have your "Reign" as a Clan Lord Challenged or taken away.

It is primarily a fighting game/dream with a series of Quest that tie together as well as a Player vs. Player aspect that ties into the basic storyline and flavor of the "World".

Though a single player can complete all the Quests alone, it has been designed to encourage groups or teams of friends and furres to work together or compete to complete the Quests, play the PvP "Clan Wars" aspect of the dream as well as encourage roleplaying.

The Quests:

There are a number of Quest that intertwine to produce different endings.
The actions of each Furre that enters the Dream effects the Quests and Environment.
The quest components are "cumulative" which means anytime a part is completed it remains completed until all components of a Quest are completed.

"SpiritQuest":
Find a Spirit Weapon and "become" one of the 8 Legendary Heroes
*Time limit: 1 game day.
* Heroes resets every game day at dawn...
* Clan Lord Helms respawn every 7 game days

Act 1: Reign of the ShadowLord
"Children of the Grave":

The ShadowLord has claimed the Child Spirits within us all.
Each Time one is found, especially those of a Clan, the ShadowLord is weakened.

"The Cursed Land"
:
Battle the Undead Infestation and Remove the Curse of the Dying Land.

"The Demon Within":
Find and Defeat the Demon Guardians of the ShadowLord

"The Reign of the ShadowLord":
Defteat the ShadowLord and End is Reign.
(3 different ways with an endgame sequence - resets Quests and Clan Wars)

"The Book of Blood":

8 Spirits to be Found..
8 Spirits to be Bound...
The Book of Blood...
The Spirit Crown!

When all the Spirits are Found and all the Spirits Bound then you will find the Spirit Crown and can Defeat the ShadowLord in his Lair!
(resets each game day at dawn)

The Clan Wars:

Not really a Quest but ...
an interactive game mode for player vs. player or clan vs. clan.
If a Clan "wins" the Clan War all the Quest are Reset and the ShadowLord "Grows Stronger" or is "Reborn".

To get started on the Quests, talk to the various NPC characters. They will say different things as you discover different things and read any book you might find as they are sort of a history of the world that I've tried to use to add to the atmosphere of what is going on as well as give some clues to the Quests..

In testing the dream there are always those that are totally confused and think it's too hard as well as those that figure it out in a heart beat and tell me it's too easy. As it is I've tried to make the variety of quest and things to do range from very easy to very hard and added tons of clues in game.... there is even a sort of spoiler hidden in game with a major clue about how to reach the "endgame" in the shortest time possible. (about 10 minutes).

Have Fun!
