12/27/05
I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday!
I've gotten obsessed with the Clan Wars dream again and have been doing alot of trimming and adding things.
Almost to the point of screwing it all up, but lukily I had saved one of the best copies of it and restored it.
There's alot of new stuff I need to add to the Clan Wars Help page, but I'm heading out on a short vacation and it'll have to wait.

12/20/05
The last week or so it seems there have been alot of people that like playing Clan Wars so I've been inspired to do some updates.... First I updated the Team Fortress mechanics to minimize some of the "ping-pong" of sheild capturing and restoring as well as added some DS for "sudden death" when either score reaches 100.
I've changed the way the Fighter's damage is calculated to help level the playing field if one Clan is much more powerful than the other.
I've also added a new Class that uses the "Shadow Helm" that is located in the Dungeon.
Shadows attack is calculated similar to Fighter damage but also has a special ability to "hide" in the Shadows.
The DS went over the limit doing this so I've had to trim some of the excess and mostly unused DS.
To be able to add the Shadow Class to the Fortress and Dungeon games I am going have to remove the Lost Boy Quest, but that is hardly used and doesn't add to either the Sleeper Quest or Team Fortress.

12/10/05:
It's been quite awhile since I've even been on Furcadia and my original site had to be closed down because of a ton of spam being sent to the e-mail address.
I've started putting some of my dreams up again lately as they are good dreams so I setup the site again for anyone who happens to play them and wants some of the extended information for them.
Have Fun!

3/29/05:
This may well be my last dream... with the coming release of Guild Wars, I imagine I'll be wanting to spend my time there. However, I will be submitting the Clan Wars dream to the Spring Festival for Exibition (not going to compete for prizes) and sometime after that I'll upload it to the Furcadian Historical Society so anyone can download it and see / use the DS I wrote to make it.
If Guild Wars gets me as much as I think it's going to, I might have one more Arena Master contest and give away most all of the Digos I've still got from the other contest I entered.
Who knows... Grand Prize might even be the ArenaMasters dream AND the bot.

3/7/05:
I think I'm pretty much finished with building Clan Wars except for maybe a few tweaks, so I've started making a page for it where you'll be able to find some extended information on the classes, quests, and games.

3/2/05:
Seems Clan Wars is starting to draw a few players, which inspires me to work harder.
I keep trying to tweak it a little here and there, but my main push now is trying to make the Team Fortress Area more interesting and fun...
I've made alot of changes to the way it works, but that's still not enough, so I've created a NEW Class "SPIRIT" that is tied directly to the Fortress or "Clan War".
The Dragon Spirit / Phoenix Spirit has the Strength of the Warrior, Stealth of the Rogue, and Soul of the Mystic and the collected Experience of All the Clan Wars that have been fought.
What does this mean?
The idea is that the experience doesn't start over when you pick up the Spirit Crown.
All the experience gained by anyone that has or has had the Crown remains until the Dream is either reset or reuploaded... so you could possibly have the Max Level when you pick it up the first time (though you can still buy skill points) and there can be more than One Clan Spirit at a Time.
How do I get the Spirit Crown?
The Spirit Crown only drops when a Clan War has been won, and can only be picked up by a member of the winning Clan. Be quick though, because you only have a short time to pick it up before the Fortress is Rebuilt.

2/26/05:
I decided to give the Clan Wars dream another chance and it looks like quite a few Furres came in and had a good time, soooo...
I'm not going to give up on it and have made a few more improvements.
You no longer hurt yourself when you "loose control" you just don't do damage.
Rouges now stay hidden until they attack.
You can BUY Skill upgrades (Strength and Speed) with gold you find.
Everyone in a Clan gains experience when a Clan Claims the Sleeper Kill.

2/21/05:
You might not see my dreams around much anymore unless I get another idea I want to pursue, but I have submitted NeverQuest and SpiritQuest to the Furcadian Historical Society for public download.
Now anyone who really wants to know how I did alot of the stuff I did can rip apart the DS and get a glimpse of how I approach DS...
(I put alot of notations into it to try and help explain what was going on)
...as well as grab the Dragon (and any of the other stuff) from the patches.
I'd like to get credit if any of it's used but don't really expect I will.

2/15/05:
I doesn't appear anyone is really going to play Clan Wars enough for me to pursue it any further. Even with a self regenerating dungeon and fortress area as well as being able to increase stats with training points and levels...
Kind of leading me even further down the road to loosing interest.
The only thing anyone really seems to want from me is my dream/code for themselves... or the chance to win a digo...

2/5/05: Clan Wars Progress Report

The Lost Boys:
A very simple and basic quest in the first dungeon is to find the Lost Boy.
Each time one is found another is placed withing the first dungeon.
(originally the quest to be able to become one of the 5 special classes)

The Sleeper Quest:
First a Random Dungeon that Builds itself when with Quests and the Sleeper.
The Sleeper gains Levels each time he is killed, and looses levels if he is not defeated...

Team Fortress:
Team Fortress is a combination of Capture the Flag and King of the Hill where the "Flag" is the "Light" and the "Hill" is the Fortress Thrown.
When I clan controls thier own Light and have captured the Light of the opposing clan they can then claim the Thrown and control the Fortress.
Every 60 seconds each class of a Clan gains exp for holding the Fortress.

Duel Arena:
Furre vs. Furre in a fight to the Death!
Who will rule the realm of ClanWars!

*note the Dream is in beta... expect some strangeness from time to time.

ArenaMaster Contest
"Flight of the Phoenix"

Sat. 1/29/05
12Noon-5pm
The Prize:
Used Phoenix to the High Score in the Sleeper Arena

Congradulations Tommy Fairplay!

The Sleeper Contest Saturday was a success dispite the fact that DEP didn't announce it or post it on the events page... what's up with that?
Some great rounds against the Sleeper with a really tough battle for first between Tommy Fairplay and Sam the Bunny.
Tommy Fairplay won 1st with an All Time High Score of 3051!
Sam the Bunny won 2nd with a High Score of 2884!

1/28/05: Clan Wars! Beta Now Playing
Yes, I've gotten inspired and have done quite a bit of work on the Clan Wars! Dream and it is playable, though it's still got some bugs and just the basics.
It regenerates a "random" dungeon when either the Sleeper (Dragon) Quest is complete or a Deathmatch (20 Frags) is over.
The first section consist of a Quest/Deathmatch Area where most all of the Dungeon Items, Quest Triggers, and drops are randomly created and placed.
The monsters are the "smartest" i've come up with so far since they'll appear randomly as well as fight back, and the Sleeper roams randomly through his Lair also... no set pattern to him anymore although he is a bit slower, but his attacks are alot smarter than the one in ArenaMaster.
No specific class attacks or level-ups yet (like SpiritQuest), but that is coming soon as well as the Clan Fortress modes of Capture the Flag and King of the Hill.

1/15/05: SpiritQuest: The Clan War
I'm still dragging my feet on the new ClanWars dream but I did make some modifications to SpiritQuest which put more emphasis on the PvP aspect (Clan War) as well as place the Spirit Weapons in the Clan Halls more often than not. (There is one condition where the Weapons won't automatically appear and the original SpiritQuest of having to find the weapons will be true.)

1/02/05: It's a NEW YEAR!
I've been caught up in the Holidays and haven't done any work on Clan Wars... but, I have done some tweaking of ArenaMasters and will be having a DragonMaster contest this month. (probably the 3rd Saturday from 12-5 FST)
High Score in the Sleeper Arena will win a Phoenix!
I've added new controls to the Sleeper Arena and some New Share Commands.
