12/12/04: ClanWars! Coming 2005
I have managed to begin work on a new dream: ClanWars!
The plan is to have 2 Clans, 5 Classes per Clan that gain experience.
Each of the 5 Classes will not only be able to gain Levels, but will also each have 2 Class upgrades for a total of 30 "Unique" Characters.
(Examples: Fighter > Soldier > Knight / Hunter > Archer > Ranger)
It will allow Solo or Group Questing/Adventureing, Team Deathmatch as well as a Capture the Light and Hold the Fortress modes.

12/7/04:
I've just been having too much fun playing Starport (and Guild Wars this weekend), to spend much time in furcadia or messing with the new DS.
I do try and load ArenaMasters as often as possible.
I checked out the stats in the Wolf Howl SpiritQuest and decided I won't even load it (except to test new content) until after they take down the Wolf Howl.

[#] === Quest Stats: Day 46 ===
[#] === Wanderers in Dream 431 ===
[#] === Spirits Found: 0 / 8 ===
[#] === Children Saved: 5 ===
[#] === Spirits Leveled: 142 ===
[#] === Clan Lords Crowned: 12 ===
[#] === Curses Removed: 6 ===
[#] === Demons Defeated: 0 ===
[#] === SpiritLord Reborn: 27 times. ===
[#] === ShadowLord Defeated: 32 times. ===

11/22/04: Siggyy Wins the Dragon
I have to admit I was dissappointed with the turn out.
I guess they never announced it on Furcadia or else it was the wierd problem that kept unloading the dream even thou there were a half a dozen people in it.
I ended it early and Siggyy won the Dragon with the high score.
I didn't really award a Team Prize but rather gave everyone in the dream a Rose when I decided to end the contest.

11/21/04: Day of the Dragon

I've added a few new things to the dream for the contest.
Most is just for fun, like the ballons and Local Species.
To help control the QuestMaster game there is now an automatic line and controls to keep others from interfering in your quest and take care of anyone that is idle and blocking the line or quest.
You can also let people in to play as a team.
Be sure the members of your team are in line right behind you.
Then, once in the Quest Arena say TEAM to let the next furre in line join you.

Practice
will be from 6am to 12 noon.
Scores logged after 12:30 and until 6pm will count toward Prizes.
I will then double check the logs to verify the winners.

Note that there are 2 prizes:
Best Single Player: Dragon Digo*
Best Team: Purple Rose for each team member

*slightly used Dragon expires 4/18/05

11/13/04: Day of the Dragon
Next Sunday from 6am to 6pm FST!
Okay, I know I've been distracted by some new games I've been playing with... but I'm doing a little make-over ... nothing major just adding some of the new stuff that came with the Squirrel Addition... mostly patching for now.
To try and kick off the holidays of rebirth and renewal...
ArenaMasters
will be having a QuestMaster contest...
You can do it alone, or bring a team...

The Grand Prize (single player): a Dragon Digo*
Team First Prize: purple roses

*(what's left of the Bard's Tail Prize)

11/07/04:

I'm in the process of moving my web pages...
You'll find links to my Furcadia stuff on the Left and some older things I've done in my wanderings on the right.

11/05/04:
I won a 3rd place prize package with Spirit Quest ... woot! More prizes to give away in ArenaMaster!
There will be an ArenaMaster contest in November with a Dragon Digo* as grand prize...
just haven't decided what day or which Arena it will be in...*(slightly used Dragon)
I've also decided not to compete for awhile in Dream Contest... it gets me too obsessive with trying to make a new dream... instead if I enter it'll be Exibition Only, so it'll take off all the presure I put on myself to come up with something unique and I can think about doing some modifications to ArenaMaster as well as adding and modifying SpiritQuest... maybe even make a version of it called Clan Wars that would be more like a team fortress game with King of the Hill and Capture the Flag type modes....

10/28/04: The Wolf Howl is upon Us!
Looks like some really great dreams have been entered which should be fun for all.
Here's some quick information about my SpiritQuest: Dark Harvest dream:

Though a single player can complete all the Quests alone, it has been designed to encourage groups or teams of friends and furres to work together or compete to complete the Quests and/or play the PvP "Clan Wars" aspect of the dream as well as encourages roleplaying through the available character types you can become.

There are a number of Quests that intertwine to produce different endings and the actions of each Furre that enters the Dream can effect the Quests and the outcome for all.
The quest components are "cumulative" which means anytime a part is completed it remains completed until something happens to reset all the Quests.
(use the link for more detailed information on the environment, character types, quests, AND a spoiler made especially for the Wolf Howl...)

10/25/04:
There have been so many furres playing the games in ArenaMaster since it's up so much more that  I'll be having regular resets (high scores and stats and such) as well as adding those who make the rank of ArenaMaster into the DS... Two new ArenaMasters this week: Jessmystr11 and mickmick. Congradulations!
I'll also post the stats from the last reset on the ArenaMaster page.

10/23/04:
SpiritQuest is officially entered now, so I won't be loading it again until after the Wolf Howl... But with the new DSL I'm able to keep ArenaMaster up almost all the time and starting to think I might have another contest soon. I have a Dragon Digo that will be tradeable again soon ...
In other "news" I'm officially a mason now and that has been a very humbling experience so far... but I'm learning from others as much as I'm able to help others. And once I get the new site up I'm thinking I'll be adding a download page and some sort of DS and Furbot help pages.

10/19/04:
Imagination run amok indeed....
I finally got DSL! But am having a little bit of a problem with my old e-mail. I'm calling SpiritQuest done (for now) and have submitted it to the Wolf Howl Dream Contest (if my new e-mail is working right).
I have alot of ideas for things to do with the "Engine", but will be taking a break from making Dreams for awhile..  I may have a new website soon, but I'll have a link here to it when I do.

10/10/04:
The deadline for dream submissions for the  Wolf Howl  is the 28th which gives me some time to polish off SpiritQuest. I've added a few new quest and added some more functionality to some of the common characters. There is a NEW way to defeat the ShadowLord too... in fact the new ending is the best of three endings.
I call it "The Book of Blood" Quest, but believe it or not you don't have to kill one single undead to complete it .... AND (with the new quest) you can defeat the ShadowLord in his Lair!

9/26/04:
I'd like to thank everyone that showed up today for my ArenaMaster Rameen Festival party... It was more of a success that I could have ever imagined.
The "a furre enters the portal room" text when someone enters the dream was like spam for awhile just after the scheduled time to start.... I was pretty blown away but some how managed to keep it organized.

Congradulations to Tom6789 for winning the Phoenix with an amazing High Score of 2917 an all time record!

Here are the ingame stats from just before I logged out having had the dream up for just about 7 hours:

9/23/04: DAY of the PHOENIX
I've been so focused on the SpiritQuest dream I haven't been doing much with ArenaMaster lately and several of you have been asking when or if I was still going to do the "Day of the Phoenix" contest. Well, when I saw the announcement of the Rameen Festival I decided now is the time to do it.
So, 'join ArenaMaster on September 26th from 12 noon - 6pm to either compete in the Sleeper Arena or watch or play some of the other games. The High Score in the Sleeper Arena (DragonMaster) will win a slightly used Phoenix.  (expires 4/18/05)

9/23/04:
I've added the beginnings of a New Series of Quests as well as more Dungeons to explore, more functionality of the General Character Types and more effects. Another special Character Type (Cleric/Healer/Priest) is in the works as well as an alternative way to defeat the ShadowLord and more NPCs with more clues to the quests and story flavor.

9/14/04:
There are now 14 UNIQUE Characters you can become in
SPIRITQUEST.
4 Clans with 4 Warriors, 4 Rangers, and 4 Clan Lords.
The GENERAL Characters currently are: Fighter, Hunter, Bard, Storm Mage, Shadow Mage, Iluusionist, Explorer, and Student.

9/8/04:
Because you demanded it there is now a page for SPIRITQUEST.
Though the Dream is still being developed there is alot of content in it already.

8/31/04:
My New Dream undercontruction has got to be my best work yet.
I've been calling it an RPG Engine which is what it started off as, but has taken on a life of it's own...
SPIRITQUEST (I'll be making a page for it soon)

It's progressing nicely... a series of Quest that can be done alone or with a group... or you can play it as a DeathMatch.

Time passes... there is Day and Night...
All Quests / Deathmatches reset at Dawn...
2 Classes, 4 Factions, (5 if you count Furre).
And in Quest Mode you can gain experience and levels along with stats!

I've been "stress" testing for bugs and things to improve it and here is a stats shot I just had to post....

The Underground is now under construction...

8/21/04:
Running the contest was very difficult for me and I was tempted not to do another one, however, I'm stubborn and not going to give up on it just yet.
I have more stuff to give away and that's just what I'm going to do in September, only this time it will be a one day event I'm calling "The Day of the Phoenix".
The prize you may have guessed is a Phoenix and it will go to the person with the high score in the Sleeper Arena that day.

The ArenaMasters Contest:

8/15/04:

It was a very close competition and I wish I could give a prize to everyone....
It's soo close in fact (1 sec in the DungeonMaster that was a tie for 1st)...
Congradulations to Colton on winning the Gryffe!

I have added some special DS to ArenaMasters to give some special recognition to those that made ArenaMaster with some more additions I'll be adding soon.
There is now a "Build a Home" area for the ArenaLords...
"The ArenaLord Estates".

To begin building your Estate"
When standing/sitting on the sittable Rock (object 398) say:
 BUILD FLOOR to place a 3x3 area of  floor.

While standing on the "special" floor say:

Area #: to place a 3x3 area of object# with object 0 where you are standing.
Put #: to put object# one space away in the direction you're facing.
Place #: to place object# where you are standing
*Set #: to set floor# where you are standing
* Special Note:
You won't be able to use any of the building commands while standing on the changed floor tile.

8/9/04:
The Gryffe Cycle is in the Round 2 phase and will end Saturday with Round 3. The rest of the week I'll be checking logs and updating all ArenaMaster Qualifiers Scores that are higher than those logged in Round 1.

Stats for 8/9/04:

7/28/04:
 I got my dates wrong...  Finals will be Begin 7/31 and continue until all qualifiers have had thier scores recorded, qualifying will still be allowed 7/31 when arenas are open but ArenaMasters  will have priority over all the Arenas.

Due to RL obligations I've had to shorten the Finals from a whole week to the Weekend Only.
Be sure to check the Gryffe Contest Page for an update on Final Round Scoring.

The "Gryffe Cycle" Contest officially begin Saturday 7/17/04.
Qualifying will last 2 weeks and the Final Rounds will begin 8/01/04 and run for 1 week.
Please follow the Gryffe Contest Link for Rules, Qualifying Requirements, Final Round Information and Limitations.

7/7/04:
Can't believe I managed to win 2nd place.
I plan on using at least part of the prize as a prize for an upcoming "experiment" with the ArenaMaster Dream.
Stay tuned... I have a bit of work to do yet to revising the dream and the bot that will keep track of players advancements as well as a little bit of a beta test before an "official" launch.
 I don't want to give too much away  too soon, but I'm going to try to do something that I don't think has been done before in Furcadia.... and with a little luck and promotion maybe even generate a little excitement and participation.

7/5/04:
Site Changes --
I'm going to be making a few minor changes to the site... mostly putting the dream information on separate pages with links to them on the sides, with this main page for my News, Comments, and Ramblings...

Sun Festival --
I love the Festivals... I get to see so many good dreams and get a new perspective on what I'm doing with dreams as well as what the festivals are all about.
Looking back at what I entered, converting what I've been doing to fit the festival theme didn't work as well as I'd hoped...
I can now see with an open mind that what I did that most of the dream (ArenaMaster) wasn't really very appropriate for the festival...
The Splash Pool and maybe the Bard Lounge alone would have been much more appropriate without all the rest.
I was just so intent on showing off all the advanced DS I've learned how to do get in the way of what the festival was all about.

ArenaMaster --
I'm going to convert the Dream back to it's pre-festival state so it's not nearly as big of a download and for the long term plans of what I want to do with it the egyptian theme just doesn't fit.

6/19/04:
They finally announced the Festival of the Sun Dream Contest and I've been patching and polishing like crazy to get the ArenaMasters Dream finished and ready to enter. As a result I've added tons of stuff and think the Dream as a whole is alot more fun and has alot more to offer those not interested in fighting or playing the games.
The Dream is finished but over the next few days I need you all to help squash any bugs before I submit it.

Contact me through e-mail with any comments or questions about the dreams.

Have Fun!
